How returns work at eBay
- Each seller sets its own return policy, shown on the listing. Change-of-mind ("remorse") returns follow that policy, and the listing says who pays return shipping.
- The eBay Money Back Guarantee covers items that never arrive and items that do not match the listing, even if the seller does not accept returns.
- For an item that never arrives, report it from the delivery date up to 30 days after. Sellers must reply within 3 business days, and eBay can step in after that.
- For not-as-described returns, the seller pays return shipping and must refund within 2 business days of getting the item back.
- Filing a chargeback for the same order can cost you the guarantee.
